CyAN launches its Asian-Pacific Chapter to create the region’s most dynamic cyber professional network

CyAN, the Cybersecurity Advisors Network, is very proud to launch its Asia-Pacific Chapter with the objective to create the region’s most dynamic cyber professional network.

CyAN is an international network of professionals with expertise on cyber security, active in five continents to share best practices, build careers and networks with the goal of strengthening cyber resilience and capacities. In APAC, CyAN aims to reach out to all countries of the region to provide local members with more networking, events and professional development, more interaction and more business opportunities.

CyAN APAC was launched on 12th February at the Joint Cyber Security Centre in Sydney, Australia, gathering APAC’s founding members and high level guests, including Peter Kazacos, Chairman of Icon Cyber, David Spence, Chairman of PayPal Australia, and Kaaren Koomen AM, Director of IBM. 32 members joined already! And another launch event is planned in Melbourne on 26th March.

CyAN will be regionally represented by Peter Coroneos, former head of the Australian Internet Industry Association, 1997-2011. Peter will be supported by Andrew Constantine, Founder of CIO Cyber Security and national Convenor of CyAN in Australia.

CyAN President, Jean-Christophe le Toquin, welcomed this regional development as a significant step for the organisation: “I am sure that Peter and Andrew will do an amazing job to engage the strong cyber talents existing in APAC , in order to tailor our efforts to the region more effectively.”
