Shahid Ahmed heads IT/ Cybersecurity Audits at Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) PJSC since January 2011. Prior to joining DEWA, Shahid worked with Ernst & Young Pakistan as Sr. Information Technology Manager within the Information Technology Risk Assurance Department, leading IT & Cybersecurity Audits (2008-2010).
Before that, Shahid worked as Sr. IT Auditor in Pak Arab Refinery Limited – PARCO (2006-2008) managing IT/OT Audits and investigations at one of the latest and biggest oil refineries in Pakistan. He also served as an expert in ERP Projects overseeing digital transformation and implementation assurance. Prior to joining PARCO, worked as Sr. IT Manager and developed critical solutions for the Government of Pakistan, Textile Group of Companies and Petrochemicals Processing Industry (1999-2006).
