On Wednesday 23rd June, CyAN had the pleasure to hold a lecture on the issue of “Blockchain and Security”, to a packed audience of more than 80 people.
This first open event organised by CyAN at the initiative of Christian Aghroum (Vice-President – External Relations), was hosted by the Bloomberg agency, co-organisator of the event, at its Paris office.
Introduced by Jean-Christophe Le Toquin (President) and moderated by Jonathan Bourguignon (founding member), the event gave the opportunity to present the views on the blockchain of two acute experts, Alexandre Stachtchenko, founding member of Blockchain France and Me Hubert de Vauplane, partner in a specialised banking and finance law firm.
The conference provided for a detailed presentation of blockchain technologies their promises (and their limitations), to an audience mainly composed of actors of the banking and finance sector. Both speakers also mentioned the limits and potential threats affecting these technologies and the services based on them, as recently illustrated by the attack which targeted the investment funds “TheDAO”.
