William Rivera is a seasoned leader with over 17 years of experience in advocacy and mission-driven organizations. As Managing Director at MyOwn Image, he leads nationwide efforts to combat technology-facilitated violence and promote intimate privacy, driving initiatives at the intersection of digital safety and survivor support.
Previously, as Crisis Intervention Director at Opportunities for Otsego, Rivera managed 24/7 crisis response operations and two residential facilities, connecting thousands annually to critical resources. His trauma-informed leadership and streamlined protocols significantly improved outcomes for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, homelessness, and exploitation.
A dedicated Trust & Safety professional and survivor advocate, Rivera has directly supported thousands impacted by violence. His expertise spans advocacy, policy reform, and community engagement, bridging human needs with digital innovation to create actionable solutions.
