CyAN and the Cercle K2 are holding a breakfast debate on December 14th in Paris on “Cybersecurity and Human Resources Management: finally ready to renovate business organization and recognition of skills?”
Involving HR Directors in cybersecurity: a dream, a madness, a challenge or a paradox? Maybe a little bit of all this. What if it was just common sense after all?
Indeed, the vast majority of computer security problems is of human origin. The solution may require a more transversal organization of the company and a recognition of skills – today poorly taken into account. If CIOs and other information security managers have a role to play, they should not be left alone. And HR Directors (or their equivalents) are undoubtedly the best placed to train and make the management team, the employees, and even social partners, understand the need to apprehend cyber risk – and this no matter the size of the company. But are CIOs and HR managers ready to support each other and take the necessary steps to prepare employees for the new digital environment?
These questions will be addressed by René Picon-Dupré, member of CyAN and a founding member of the Cercle K2, who held various HR positions at the French Ministry of Defense, including that of HR Director of the French Defense Procurement Agency. René Picon-Dupré is also one of the very few HR Directors in France to have developed a sustained interest in cybersecurity – how it will lead to a change in the organization of companies and the way employees at all levels are evaluated.
The debate will be moderated by Jean-Christophe Le Toquin, President of CyAN and founding member of the Cercle K2.
